The Grove is a small historic pocket of Studio City built across from what is now CBS Studio Center, or more commonly referred to as CBS Radford. (Not to be confused with The Grove/Farmers Market on Fairfax Ave which is beside CBS Television City at the corner of Beverly and Fairfax.)
The Grove Studio City is the location of the original Mack Sennett Studios which opened in May of 1928, and the reason the area is called Studio City. Many condos and apartments line the two main east-west streets of Hoffman St and Guerin St. Single family homes can be found just north of the LA River in a very small private enclave, due to the fact the north-south bound streets dead-end right before Moorpark St, eliminating any pass through traffic. Residents of this centrally located area benefit from being literal steps away from great shops and restaurants on Ventura Blvd, and the famous Studio City Farmers Market, which takes place on Ventura Place every Sunday morning from 8am-2pm.
